Summer Showcase

Derby Fishing Alaska!
August is a great month for several species of trophy sized fish on the Kenai Peninsula, and GoFishDaddy.com is going to take you to the best places to catch them!
After arriving in Anchorage where a rental car awaits you, you drive down to Seward where we will be staying four nights at a lodge near Exit Glacier. Continental breakfast is served each morning.

We will fish in the Silver Salmon Derby for two days on a private charter with lunch included. The limit on Silvers is 6 inside Resurrection Bay and we have all intentions of getting those and hopefully a Derby winner!
Homer is our next stop for the Homer Halibut Derby.
We will be staying 3 nights at a Bed and Breakfast where we have the whole place to ourselves right on the Cook Inlet, just down the way from the Homer Spit (and the Salty Dawg!). Continental breakfast will be served daily. We will Halibut fish two days on dueling six packers, and prizes will be awarded as well as the possibility of catching a Derby fish!

Lunch will be included both days. The limit for Halibut in Homer is still at 2 so we gotta get em while we can! This year will be the first year that the Derby winner will not be determined by weight. There will be many tagged fish and drawings. As the locals will tell you, the best eating Halibut are approximately 20-50 lbs and keeping barn doors can be costly. But they are sure fun to bring up!
Catch and release is always encouraged and applauded at GoFishDaddy.com!
